Clydesdale
This breed of Horse is a Clydesdale.This horse is famous for the Budweiser commercials and parades.There history is that they came from a working farm horses, they stand about 18 hands which is 6 feet, 160 cm high.they can weight up to 2000 pounds. A Clydesdale has been recorded running speed up to 200 mph. Although this may seem extremely fast it was tested at the World Horse Championships.

As you can see all of the horses in this picture are racing.You may know or not know but this breed of horse is a Thoroughbred.It is one of the most popular breeds and one of the fastest breeds of horses that man kind knows. A Thoroughbred can run about 69.2km/h. The typical Thoroughbred ranges 15.2 to17.0 hands (62 to 68 inches 157 to 173 cm) high.Seabiscuit was a very famous racehorse,he was a son of a great racehorse and his grandfather.But seabiscuit on the other hand he was not a good racehorse. He was born May 23,1933. He did more than 25 races in a role and did not win he got last place every time. But something clicked one day in a race he started winning every time he raced. Finally he was one of the most famous race horses. One day seabiscuit was in a race his rider losted balanced and fell off and Seabiscuit thumbled over and broke his knee so he went home after he was healed he up he was chasing wild deer. So his owner entered him in a race and he won 1st place.
Friesian
This is my favorite breed of horses. This breed is the Friesian,when it is born it's fur is dark brown when it gets older the fur will turn black.They can range in height from 14.2 to17.0 hands high,but the on average they stand about 15.0 hands high.Some Friesian can weigh about 1,500 pounds or less. This breed of horse developed in Fries land, which is an island off the coast of the Netherlands.It is a thought that this breed may have descended from the Primitive Forest Horse.There is evidence that the Friesian horses may have existed as far back as 1000 B.C.
Quarter Horse
This breed of horse is the Quarter Horse they a farm working horses. They are in carnivals or shows mostly. They were the first racehorses,they ran a quarter of a mile.That's how they got there name Quarter horse.The average Quarter horse stands about 15.0 to 16.0. They can weigh about 1000 to 1300.
The history of a Quarter horses begins in Virgina in the early 17th century when American settlers obtained horses from the Chickasaw Indians.These wild horses were decedents of the horses brought to America by the Spanish explorers.They were then crossed with imported English running horses.
Tennessee Walking Horse
This horse is the famous Tennessee walking horses,they have a very graceful walk although they are racking horses.There tail is bent up then down you can see in the pictures. There tail is NOT born this way,the tail has to be broken then when it is healed it is bent.The Tennessee walking horse is a very famous and a big show horse. The Tennessee walking horse is a official state horse of the U.S. State of Tennessee. The town of Shelbville, Tennessee promotes itself as the walking horse horse capital of the world.
Mustang
This breed of horse is one of the most wildest, it is the Mustang. The average Mustang height is about 13.25 hands to15 hands. The weight of an average Mustang is 800-900 pounds. They came from horses shipped to America by the Spanish. By 1900, North America had an estimated two million free roaming horses. Since 1900, the Mustang population has been reduced drastically.
American Paint
The American Paint is one of the most common breeds of horses. It looks like it has paints just thrown on it
that's how it got it's name the American Paint. The average height of a American Paint is about 14.2 to 15 hands. The weight of an average American Paint is about 900 to 1200 pounds. The American Paint came from horses introduced by the Spanish Conquistadors. Soon the American Indians captured the American Paint, and called them there's.
American Miniature
The American Miniature is one of the smallest breeds of horses. They were used to give rides to children. The height of an adult American Miniature is about 7-8 hands, weight is about 150-250 pounds. The life span of a American Miniature is about 25-35 years. The American Miniature breed started in Great Britain, the of 1978.
Arabian
This breed of horse is a very old breed and beautiful. It is the Arabian, the height of an average Arabian is about 14.2-15 hands.The weight of an average Arabian is about 800-1000 pounds. Arabians were first bred in the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula,where they have existed for at least 4,000 years. Poor food and harsh conditions have produced a small, fast horses that is strong and tough. Arabians are raced over more than 280 miles. (150km) are regarded as prized possessions by their owner.
Morgan
The Morgan horse comes from the eastern states of Massachusetts and Vermont. Morgans descended from stallions born in the the late 1700's. The height of an average 14.2-15.2 hands, the weight of an average Morgan is about 1000. This breed of horse is worked on a farm and it is very good in the English saddle. It is one of the most famous show horses. Then if you look at the stallion it has a little dip in it's back.
New Forest
This breed of horse will be be the size for the average 8-10 year old child. This breed is the New Forest pony, this breed of horse formed in New Forest, England. The height of an average of an New Forest pony is about 13.5 hands at the most. The weight of one is about 300- 600 pounds. This breed is very gentle, and great for children. They are mostly in children's horse shows. They are good for the games in the show and very good at jumping.
Falabella
The Falabella pony is so small you can NOT ride it. The Falabella pony's health is not so good they need alot of care and attention. Some Falabella pony's can be driven. They were crossed with a small Thoroughbred and a Shetland pony then you get a Falabella pony. The average Falabella height is about 7-8 hands, the weight of an average Falabella is 200-400 pounds. The Falabella is just know as a small pet. They are sweet ponys (maybe) and great around children.

The Camargue breed is a very popular breed. The Camargue came from France and most of the Camargue horses are owned by the local cowboys. The Camargue nickname is (wild white horses of the sea.) The average Camargue stands about 14 hands high (55 in.) The average Camargue weights about 90- 120 pounds. Most Camargue horses are white or gray.

The Fell pony is a breed for children and very popular. This breed is about 2000 year old. The Fell ponies come from Cumbria, England, they descend from the Fresian but smaller. The Fell pony height is about 14 hands high and weights about 120 pounds. This is a family breed of horse it is used for work on a farm or shows .
Missouri Foxtrotter
The Missouri Foxtrotter was bred in the 1800's in Missouri and Arkansas. The average Foxtrotter stands 16-17 hands and weighs about 1000-1200 pounds. The Missouri Foxtrotter could cover long distances quickly. This breed has a unique gait call a foxtrot, in which appears to look like it's walking with it's front legs and trot with it's hind legs. The Foxtrotter could be any color, but most are chestnut. The Foxtrotter is a great horse to start kids with they are gentle and kind like.
